Guide to Flying with Tots - When Can a Baby Travel?: This pic is a throwback to our baby girls first flight at 12-weeks-old. To me, traveling with her at that age meant she had her 12-week-vaccines and was SIGNIFICANTLY easier than when she got older.

Different people have different preferences on the right age for their baby's first flight. Regardless of what you decide, here are some things to consider for your baby's first trip!

✈️ Check the airlines policy: Different airlines have minimum age requirements to travel.

👩‍⚕️ Discuss with your doctor: Assess if your doctor recommends any specific vaccinations or recommendations on pediatric guidelines on travel.

👶🏽Assess your specific child: Every child is different. Some newborns/young babies sleep nonstop. Others are colic. Many are in between. Don't make any decisions until the baby exists and you can observe their general tendencies/overall health conditions, to best decide.

🛂Obtain the Birth Certificate/Passport: To travel domestically, your baby will need a Birth Certificate and to travel internationally, they will need a Passport. Plan ahead and start paperwork for everything you will need to do to get these documents complete in time for your trip!

Key essentials in our diaper bag for daily outings: During our travels, when we leave the hotel to explore the city for the day with our 3-year-old and 1-year-old, we have a few key essentials that we like to make sure we have in our stroller storage section. Here are the must-haves:

👉🏽Diapers, wipes, changing pad, extra underwear, extra outfits
👉🏽2 sippy cups for water, 2 sippy cups for milk, and 2 sippy cups for juice
👉🏽Disposable, sticky mats
👉🏽Full body bibs
👉🏽Weather appropriate gear (i.e., if in winter, hats/gloves or in summer, sunblock/hat)

Prague with Tots - Where to Stay: Doing city trips

Prague with Tots - Where to Stay: Doing city trips with our kids, we usually like to stay walking distance to city centers and restaurants/shops easily with the stroller.

Staying in Old Town Prague worked ideally for our family. We mostly stayed local, and took one cab ride for an 'excursion'. Even nicer was when we got a few hours of the kids napping in their stroller while we explored this beautiful city.

NYC with Tots - Picnic at Bryant Park: Having a picnic at Bryant Park was our go-to hangout spot for a large group with toddlers because of the flexibility, food/sitting options, and area for kids to run around. Here is my suggestion on how to have an enjoyable and yummy picnic there:

1️⃣For the main meal, we got Kati Roll for the group. Our kids liked the aloo paratha (a little spicy), the plain paratha, and mango lassi (@thekatirollcompany)

2️⃣Get Angelina hot chocolate and macaroons to enjoy for dessert. (@angelinaparisusa)

3️⃣Sit and enjoy the picnic at a table or an area in the grass, while the kids can play.

4️⃣Let the kids ride the carasouel a few times for about $3 per ride. FYI it opens at 11 am.

5️⃣Take pictures and relax 💗

NYC with Tots - Day at Central Park: Central Park

NYC with Tots - Day at Central Park: Central Park (@centralparknyc) with kids is obviously a highlight of NYC. It is also giant, and you could easily spend the whole day exploring the park. Based on your families preferences, here are some options on how to explore it.

🛝 Enjoy slides/swings/sand at the Central Park playground

🐐 Stroll the Central Park Zoo and make sure to stop by the petting zoo (don't forget dollar bills to be able to get food for the goats/sheep)

🐎 Ride a horse-drawn carriage throughout the park

🍪 Grab cookies from LeVain (@levainbakery) and have a cookie picnic on the grass of the park

📸 Arrange a photoshoot in the park to capture memories, by the Gapstow Bridge.

To document our NYC trip with my family, and the first time my parents had all three grandchildren with them together, I arranged a photo shoot. As always, I prefer them to be flexible, cost-effective, and a quick turn around.

I used a website called @snappr. I input the details of the time/date/location I wanted and it matched me with 5 options. I selected a photographer with five stars.

On the day of the shoot, he suggested a pretty location, in the general location I had suggested. He was proactive and got straight to work.

I received the edited photos 48 hours later!! The total cost was $150.

Overall, I’m pleased to have these memories. This being said, if you use this website, make sure to read reviews carefully to ensure the photographer is a good fit for your needs.
