Traveling with our two toddlers has been a wonderful experience, but also comes along with logistical challenges. Sleeping on a flight is a core challenge. Thankfully, there are products that help along with this! We recently purchased the Fly Awake Kids Bed, and it was a game changer for our long flight experience! Read below for a full review.

• Portable: It can be deflated and inflated, and fit into a carry-on suitcase. It weighs 2.8 lbs or 1.3 kg and the dimensions are 25cm x 25cm / 10 in x 10 in. The Inflated dimensions: 80cm x 50cm / 31.5in x 19.5in (it adjusts to fit all economy, premium economy and bulk-head seats)
• Inflatable: It inflates in 90 seconds and deflates in an instant. The pump is included.
• Wipeable: After kids eat and make a mess, the bed can be wiped clean.
• Multi-purposeful: They can play toys on the bed, without the toys from rolling onto the floor. They can also sleep on the bed. Of course, there should always be supervision, but in the close proximity of airplane seats, that hasn’t been an issue for us. It also allows for them to better access the food tray and eat with more ease.

Airline Guidelines: It meets the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA’s) strict guidelines for inflight comfort devices. Not all airline staff are familiar with the guidelines of using this device. On our outbound flight, the airline said it was allowed, but not on take-off and landing. On our inbound flight, on the same airline, the staff tried to have us deflate it for the whole flight. However, after talking to them, they agreed to let us use it. Go prepared with knowing the airlines policy on it, and be prepared to inform the staff and simply use if after take-off and before landing.

I have only used this on a Virgin Atlantic Flight, and I plan to document how it fits on future flights that we travel to give a more thorough analysis, but all in all, I am so happy with the product! It made our trip easier, especially the night flight route. If you are on the fence, i absolutely believe this purchase worth it!
